Windows did updates this morning on my system, about 7AM Atlantic Time, and the program opened without issue for the first time in over a month, and everything works as it should. Perhaps the latest batch of updates have finally fixed the issues. Here's hoping. Good luck everyone! <Clapping>

My antivirus and Malwarebites don't report any problems with the file, and it worked ok for me. <Smile> I sent it to Virustotal which reported that 10 out of 55 Antivirus programs are reporting it as malware, but all the reports are different (ie all of them identify the malware as something differ...

I received an email this morning from IM, with links to the fixes - the only problem is, nothing for systems running earlier than WIN7 - and the patch/fix file contains something my security service says is a threat.... so still not able to open IM easily. Friends who are still using XP and Vista ar...

It may have fixed the problem for Win10 users, but my Vista system and Win7 are still crashing even with the Flash Player updated. Anyone know how to fix this issue so all users can continue using IM?

Like ConfusedAgain, I've been finding this method of starting IM to be foolproof:

Right Click the desktop icon,
Click on Run as Administrator

Maybe it will help other users until the problem is properly fixed.

Been having the same issue since December 8th. Once I get IM to open and stay working I have to leave email open permanently to keep it working. If the system requires a reboot, then the trial and error begins again until IM will stay open and functioning... I hope there's a solution coming soon.

I've followed all the suggestions, uninstalled, reinstalled, and the application simply stops when it opens... very disappointing as this program has been wonderfully trouble free for me since I started using it, and I've invested in the Plus and Gallery features, as well.
