After testing a few things on my system I came to the conclusion(I could be wrong) that the latest update to Flash Player broke it. You could try the older version of Flash Player(I didn't try this) but I believe most updates to Flash Player are to address its many security flaws. I may try the olde...

This problem happens to me and always has. I have always had to check manually clean the Attachments folder in the Message Store.
It would be nice if some day it was actually fixed :(

This happens to me about once a week for as as I can remember. I just shut down IM and restart it and the skin returns...shouldn't have to do this though.

On my system(still running XP) they are in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\IM\Identities\{C8979745-F319-498C-955A-8FD2C93EFD8E}\Message Store. You may have to enable "Show hidden files and folders" to see it.

I downgraded to the version prior to the Home folder but now I'm considering going back to XE. I would like to reskin it(I hate gray on the interface...reminds me of Windows 98) but I cannot find Skin Creator or nice modern interface without cute little pictures. Can anyone point me in the right dir...

You can include me in the list wanting it removed. Perhaps someone will create a hack for it if the software developers don't show common sense. Also why can you not "downgrade" to an older version without uninstalling?
