Incredimail2 wont check for emails when opened

I have Incredimail 2 that will not check for emails when you open the application. I checked under option and I have the box ticked for checking emails when opened. I thought I would update to 2.5 what a nightmare. Unistalled 2.5 and a found a link for a copy of 2 reinstalled and I am still having the problem. Anyone know what the fix is or any suggestions.

I have the same problem since the nightmare of the crash caused by the MS update. I can check manually to receive mails after opening IM, but simply cannot make it automatically check for new mail upon opening, even though I have it set to do so, which has always been the case.

Does anyone have a solution for this irritating glitch? I'd be so grateful for any worthwhile input.
