Full headers

Postby rscali47 » Thu Aug 11, 2011 12:12 pm

Your IncrediMail Version: Uncredimail 2
Your Internet Browser Type: Google Chrome
Your Operation System: Windows 7

What have you done before the problem occurred?
Nothing. I a interested in tracing thr orginating IP for my received email. I need to see if am getting email from one person instead of the two that appears to be the case when you cannot read full headers. Even if te email is sent thru two isp, it sould have the orginating IP address. Thank you very much for you help.

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
No error messages j just wnat to know if there is on person pretendiing to be two differetent people. Thank you fo ran help you can give me/

Please provide a full description of the problem:
Under the present system it appears that one is not able to read the full headers of any email that is being receved and could allow a person to send bogus emaiil thru two accounts.

To find the Full Header, simply select the message, click the 'Message' menu, and then 'Properties'.

Check under the 'Details' tab to find your original sender, and IP Address.

Hello and thank you I tried your suggestion, I had to right click on message to bring up the properties. I see the details button but both panels are empty there is no data concerning sending IP just the carrier name like email or yahoo etc. I really do wish to be able to find a way to trace an email I got. I look forward to any further suggestions you may have/

Please note that right-clicking will not bring up the correct dialog. You need to click 'Properties' from the 'Message' menu on the top of IncrediMail.

Try it again, and let me know what happens.
