In this case, to manually implement the crash fix in IncrediMail 2.0, please do the following:

1. Exit the IncrediMail application by right-clicking on the icon in your Windows taskbar and selecting "Exit".

2. In File Explorer, browse to the following path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\IncrediMail\Bin

3. Rename the file "PMC.dll" to "PMC.dll.old".

4. Relaunch the IncrediMail application.

Please let me know the results.

Hi have been having problems on opening IM. I see they now say they have a fix? Bit wary about this as did a uninstall and reinstall a few months ago and my folders were a mess.. Had emails from years ago appear on my inbox etc etc.

A geek friend suggest that if your email is on your startup list e.g opens when computer started and it tries to load but is already running (if that makes sense) it will not open correctly and you get the error message. He suggested I take IM off my startup and when I turn my computer on just start IM from scratch. eg click on the IM icon to open.
Have tried this for a few days and it now does not come up with the error message and opens straight up.
So basically open your computer and remove the option of starting up IM on opening the computer. You can do this via the options box in IM
When you turn on your computer open up IM. Seems to work ok for me

Crash after Windows update

Postby HerbeMannABg » Sat Oct 21, 2017 5:42 am

Not sure what happened to my post, so if it shows up twice I apologize.

This crash just started today for us too.
Is Incredimail going to fix this issue or is the only solution to remove Windows 10 update?

Such performance issues can often be solved by deleting the IncrediMail "Runtime" folder.

To delete the Runtime folder, please run the following executable:
http://www2l.incredimail.com/contents/s ... el_run.exe

When done, open IncrediMail and check the results.

If the problem continues, I would like you to try uninstalling and then reinstalling IncrediMail 2.5.

As the uninstall script only removes the exe/dll files, your existing data and settings should not be affected.

To uninstall IncrediMail 2.5, please go to Start > Settings > System > Apps and features, select "IncrediMail 2.5" and click on "Uninstall".

After the uninstall completes, please run the following executable to install the latest build of IncrediMail 2.5:
http://www5l.incredimail.com/im/imsetup ... lSetup.exe

When done, open IncrediMail and check the results.

If the problem still continues, it's possible the issue you encountered is because another program running on your computer is conflicting with IncrediMail.

Therefore, please disable all of the startup programs in Windows as instructed in the online article at:
http://www.groovypost.com/howto/disable ... indows-10/

After that, please restart your computer and then open the IncrediMail application.

If the problem still continues, I would like you to create a new identity in IncrediMail and see if you still encounter the same problem.

To create a new identity, please click on Tools > Identities > New Identity.

Set up your identity and see if the problem continues to occur in the new identity.

Please note that I would like you to configure the same email address in your new identity, there is no need to create a new email address. While the identity name should be different, the email address should be exactly the same.

As everything is being done in the new identity, none of the data and settings in your original identity should be affected.

To switch back to your original identity, simply click on Tools > Switch Identity, select the appropriate identity, and click on OK.
