can't open Incredimail

can't open Incredimail

I has recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8.1 and am finding that (I'M using Icredimail 2.5) when I try to open Incredimal I can't get past this message.

Incredimail application stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if solution is available,

This is incredibly frustrating, can anyone help?

So I reinstalled Incredimail ( as per previous fix suggested in 2015 and I'm happy to say t's working at the moment :-)

I am having the same trouble. Won't open with the same message . Tried reinstalled without success. Tried total removal with del_index tool without success. Is there something else I can try.

Such performance issues can often be solved by deleting the IncrediMail "Runtime" folder.

To delete the Runtime folder, please run the following executable:

When done, open IncrediMail and check the results.

If the problem continues, I would like you to try uninstalling and then reinstalling IncrediMail 2.5.

As the uninstall script only removes the exe/dll files, your existing data and settings should not be affected.

To uninstall IncrediMail 2.5, please go to Start > Settings > System > Apps and features, select "IncrediMail 2.5" and click on "Uninstall".

After the uninstall completes, please run the following executable to install the latest build of IncrediMail 2.5:

When done, open IncrediMail and check the results.

If the problem still continues, it's possible the issue you encountered is because another program running on your computer is conflicting with IncrediMail.

Therefore, please disable all of the startup programs in Windows as instructed in the online article at:

After that, please restart your computer and then open the IncrediMail application.

If the problem still continues, I would like you switch to another Windows user (create one if necessary), open IncrediMail, reconfigure your account, and see if the same problem occurs there as well.
