SILENT NOTIFIERS

Postby baffled » Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:13 am

Hi
My notifiers have stopped making sounds.
All other sound on incredimail work OK. eg, sound on opening e mail, sound when typing.
I have checked that the sound box is ticked.
I have checked that flash player is active in internet explorer.
I have re installed Flash Player.
I have tried changing to another notifier and
none of them that should make a sound work.
I use Firefox to access the internet and operate Windows 10.
I have run http://www5l.incredimail.com/im/imsetup ... lSetup.exe which did not solve the problem

In this case, please click on Tools > Options > Effects, select the option "Play notifier sounds" and unselect the option "Turn off Email Notifier sounds between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.". Click on OK.

Please let me know the results.

To further address this issue, please open Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, and under "Multimedia", enable the options "Play animations in webpages" and "Play sounds in webpages".

If the problem still continues, please reset the Internet Explorer settings as instructed in the online article at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

After that, please restart your computer to ensure the changes take effect.

Please let me know the results.

To further address this issue, I would like you to try uninstalling and then reinstalling IncrediMail 2.5.

As the uninstall script only removes the exe/dll files, your existing data and settings should not be affected.

To uninstall IncrediMail 2.5, please go to Start > Settings > System > Apps and features, select "IncrediMail 2.5" and click on "Uninstall".

After the uninstall completes, please run the following executable to install the latest build of IncrediMail 2.5:
http://www5l.incredimail.com/im/imsetup ... lSetup.exe

When done, open IncredImail and check the results.

If the problem continues, I would like you to create a new identity in IncrediMail and see if you still encounter the same problem.

To create a new identity, please click on Tools > Identities > New Identity.

Set up your identity and see if the problem continues to occur in the new identity.

Please note that I would like you to configure the same email address in your new identity, there is no need to create a new email address. While the identity name should be different, the email address should be exactly the same.

As everything is being done in the new identity, none of the data and settings in your original identity should be affected.

To switch back to your original identity, simply click on Tools > Switch Identity, select the appropriate identity, and click on OK.

If the problem still continues, I would like you switch to another Windows user (create one if necessary), open IncrediMail, reconfigure your account, and see if the same problem occurs there as well.

For detailed instructions on how to create users in Windows 10, please refer to the online article at:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/ins ... windows-10

Please let me know the results.
