Open Powerpoint appended files

Postby galbe007 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 12:37 pm

Hello
On a new HP Pavilion PC 64bits under Windows 8.1, running Incredimail 2.0 (latest release), it's impossible to open directly an appended .pps file by clicking on it (or by clicking on "open file"). I have to save it (on the desk or anywhere), and there is then no problem to run it. It's quite unfriendly...
The problem arises when Powerpoint 2000 is selected as default as well as with Powerpoint 2013 (I have both versions and both open the file when direct).
Running Powerpoints as an administrator changes nothing.
This problem seems to be a common one, I could find 5 discussions on this topic in the Microsoft forums (en-us as well as french communities) and it's not exclusive to PPT (problems with Word also) - But no problem to read directly a .pdf, with Adobe or Foxit :

I can see that no user could find a solution, then it must be an Incredimail problem (office security or compatibility?), and it is not a new one .
Could your team find urgently a solution ?
Thanks
