Missing folders in Win7 after fresh install and import

Postby cmefilms » Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:15 pm

Your IncrediMail Version: 2.5
Your Internet Browser Type: FireFox 2
Your Operation System: Windows 7

What have you done before the problem occurred?
Im stopped working and required flash, it would not open, I had previously exported all data and settings twice on different external hard drives. after i uninstalled IM and reinstalled I had the same problem, looking for flash and would not open, installed and uninstalled flash, did not work

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:

Please provide a full description of the problem:
after doing this at least 6 times I copied the entired contents of IM to an external drive, I also had the two exported backups. Set up a hnew fresh install of Win 7 - 64 Bit, same as before on a brand new drive. Installed IM and tried to import the data, IM kept crashing, would no allow the import. After some research I imported the messages from the Identities folders directly, this also crashed, so I imported messages from each message folder.

Messages and folders are no duplicating in IM, however, there are lot of missing folders. This is going on for a week so I really ned these folders.

It seems that the latest Adobe Flash Player update caused the problem you encounter.

Please do the following in order to correct the issue you are experiencing:

**1.** First, click the following links and **save** both files to your desktop:

* http://download.macromedia.com/get/flas ... player.exe

* https://www.dropbox.com/s/dyxk3dr459625 ... x.exe?dl=1

**2.** Close all browsers and run the **uninstall_flash_player** file.

**3.** Once the uninstall process completes, run the second file.

**4.** Click the following link to change the update settings for Flash:

Please note that I will assist you here even if you do not have an IncrediMail Premium/IncrediMail Plus subscription.

How did you import your data exactly? Please describe in detail.

Are you only missing your contacts? Were all your folders and messages imported without a problem?

1. i make from XP export data files 16gb ( 22 files) ,then format the computer and installed win-7 & new incredimail software with the same build that was before on XP.
then i made inport all files that was saved on the Partition "D" ,after restart there is no changing in the incredimail and no import !!! but in the c:\users\hanoch\appdata\local\IM\Identities all what was imported is there all the 16GB ,but it is not in the mail box.no messeges & and no contacts --nothing
the proses was : file > data and settings transfer wizard > import data and settings

2. than other try:
then i try forum recommendations :file import messeages from identities that was copy on desktop + import contacts ,But there are all kinds of duplicate folders : inbox,sent items ,deleted items, a lot off times .but not all files that was in old computer .even all is in the identities.
the prosess was : file > import and export > import messeges
file > import and export > import contacts
i can send picture of that

3. then also tryed that :
* http://download.macromedia.com/get/flas ... player.exe
* https://www.dropbox.com/s/dyxk3dr459625 ... x.exe?dl=1
**2.** Close all browsers and run the **uninstall_flash_player** file.
**3.** Once the uninstall process completes, run the second file.
**4.** Click the following link to change the update settings for Flash:

I erased your phone number, since you should not share it online - it is visible to all forum visitors.

Please let me know what was the result of following what you describe in (2) - did the data appear to import?
