Windows 8.1

Postby flocs31 » Mon Sep 15, 2014 4:35 pm

Your IncrediMail Version: IM2
Your Internet Browser Type: Google Chrome
Your Operation System: Windows 7

What have you done before the problem occurred?
N/A

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
N/A

Please provide a full description of the problem:
I got a new Dell and it has Windows 8.1. I do not want IM2.5 because I dislike the IMAP settings and the fact message rules can't be set up anymore.

Does anyone else use 8.1 and can IM2 be ran on it?

I wish Incredimaill would kept updating its program to work with the new Windows versions when they come out. I see ads and receive email trying to get people to buy Plus and things, why should we bother spending money if we run into compatibilty problems

The problem you are experiencing can usually be solved by deleting your IncrediMail 'Runtime' folder. After deleting the Runtime folder, the folder will be automatically recreated, and your IncrediMail content will once again be saved each time it is used:

**1.** To delete your 'Runtime' folder, please click the following link -

http://www2l.incredimail.com/contents/setup/xml_support/del_run.exe

**2.** Click 'Run' in the File Download dialog, click 'Run' again when asked to run the software and follow the instructions in the SupportUtil dialog.

Open IncrediMail and let me know the results.

I didn't have anything in the runtime folder I had just installed it, no stats or anything was saved.

In your second post I put a link for installing IncrediMail 2.5, let me know if the issue persists after you do that.
