Incredimail not working with Windows 10 - reinstall DELETED EVERYTHING!!!

IncrediMail was not starting up properly with Windows 10. I came to the IncrediMail site for advice and your site recommended reinstallation, while assuring your readers that the emails would NOT be disturbed. Well guess what - - IncrediMail install ERASED EVERYTHING. Really super not cool. I use my email to run my business and everything is gone.

On the off chance that these things are still around somewhere, can someone please point me to the location where IncrediMail stores email and data please?

Would really appreciate an answer to hopefully find my lost and missing saved emails.

In this case, all of the previous folders should be listed under "On my computer" at the bottom of the left panel in the main IncrediMail window.

If the "On my computer" is not displayed, simply right-click on the empty space at the bottom of the left panel, select the option "New Folder", and the "On my computer" should then be displayed with the previous folders placed underneath.

If the previous folders are still not displayed, to re-import the messages and contacts, please do the following:

1. Exit the IncrediMail application by right-clicking on the icon in your Windows taskbar and selecting "Exit".

2. In File Explorer, browse to the following path:
C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\IM

Note: YOURUSER refers to your actual Windows user. As the "AppData" folder may sometimes be hidden, for instructions on how to show hidden files and folders in Windows, please refer to the Microsoft article at:

3. Copy the "Identities" folder to your Desktop.

4. Open IncrediMail, click on File > Import and Export > Import Messages.

5. In the pop-up window, select "IncrediMail" and click on Next.

6. Click "Select Folder" and browse to the "Identities" folder located on your Desktop. Click on Next.

7. Select the option "All Folders". Click on Next.

8. When complete, click on Finish.

9. In the main IncrediMail window, click on File > Import and Export > Import Contacts.

10. In the pop-up window, select "IncrediMail Address Book" and click on Next.

11. Click "Select Folder" and browse to the "Identities" folder located on your Desktop. Click on Next.

12. When complete, click on Finish.

I have the same problem, everything deleted. But IM will not start. The final window it produces says
Titlebar: ImSuppU
Text : An invalid argument was encountered.
[OK]

IM simply will not start.

To address this issue, I would like you to run the full setup file for IncrediMail and see if that solves the problem.

Please run the following executable to install the latest build of IncrediMail 2.5:

When complete, please restart your computer.

If the problem continues, it's possible the issue you encountered is because another program installed on your computer is conflicting with IncrediMail.

Therefore, please disable all of the startup programs in Windows as instructed in the online article at:

After that, please restart your computer and then try opening the IncrediMail application.

Note: This will merely disable the automatic startup of the application when restarting your computer. You will still be able to manually launch the applications from the Start menu (or Windows 10 equivalent).
