Incredimail 2.0/2.5 Download Version from 18.6.2013

What have you done before the problem occurred?
Today I visited the Homepage of Incredimail an started the download of Incredimail 2.0. The time-stamp was 18.6.2013, size 13,1 mb. It was offered as Version 2.0!!!!
This is not Version 2.0, this is Version 2.5. Be carefull of installing it. After installing I was very upset that the Version is 2.5. This is like downloading
Windows 7 and receiving Windwos 8.
All Folders created by the user are gone in this Version 2.5. There is no Option of "showing user Folders" or similar.
I tried the same again on my Laptop: Same result as the Desktop Computer.

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
Please Incredimail stop this. If you go on like this (offering a wrong download) you will lose many customers!!!

a) this is an issue we are aware of and are working on resolving.
b) This is a feature some users encountered a problem with and we have not been able to reproduce. We will continue checking this issue.

The new update contains fixes for several import/export issues the previous version had..... "

I responded, That I am looking forward to see a new update with the problems fixed.

Version 2.5 is in need of help. I downloaded it and lost everything! I have no gallery with stationaries, no inbox that is current (my 2.5 version REVERTED back to 2009 and that's what is showing up ) I have lost incredible amounts of data andcontent and need that all back, I cannot find tech support anywhere on the website or even a phone number to call. There are plenty of sites that offer Incredimail tech support for a hefty price. So if there are issues with this, why can't a software design engr. fix this already. I was doing great without this upgrade but a popup window came up and said skinscript bmp would not load and to upgrade to the latest version, I couldn't get passed this so I more or less had to upgrade. I saw the red light go off in my head telling me not to do this and look what happened, I'm really stuck now. I dont' even know what to do now.

Do you see any of your messages in the 'On My Computer' folder?

Upgrading to IncrediMail 2.5 should not cause the loss of any data, however we will try to reproduce the issue you have encountered on our computers.

If you wish downgrade back to IncrediMail 2, you can simply uninstall IncrediMail 2.5 via the Control Panel and then install IncrediMail 2 through our site.

I also did a update yesterday. I was surprised when I could not find my emails in the correct files. Then I noticed that they had been moved to the bottom under On Computer. Only then did I realise that the update had given my 2.5. I did not want this. If I uninstall this 2.5 version via the Control panel then reinstall Version 2.0 will I loose all my emails - Must I do a data transfer first?

If you uninstall IncrediMail 2.5 via the Control Panel and then install IncrediMail 2, you will only lose the messages you have received after installing IncrediMail 2.5

I have been receiving daily emails from IM tech support about the 2.5 upgrade deleting all my content/data/emails. I did the upgrade because of a pop up window error, and although I did get the upgrade, it did not upgrade my current email account with IM. It upgraded my email account from 2009. There is a gap is my emails from 2009 to 2013 that have been lost. Tech support cannot retrieve this lost data and is telling me to do the same thing every day. EAch day I request someone from management to contact me to resolve this issue, and no one has. IM was on my old desktop and when I took it to my computer store for repairs, we decided to get a new laptop. Two of the owners worked for several days trying to come up with options how to successfully uninstall IM from my computer before transferring the data to the new laptop. this was virtually impossible. They were in total amazement that this couldn't be uninstalled. I know this is true. I tried to uninstall it before with no luck. Uninstalling a program is easy and you don't have to be an IT specialist to do this. I am stuck with IM and now I'm screwed because no one can find my emails. Lost are 2 years of emails to attorneys, government agencies, and the worst being the last emails I got from 2 friends who have passed away shortly after those emails were sent. I trusted IM with my information, not destroy it. They have suggested that the issues lie in my webmail account which is not the case. I never used my webmail account, solely relying on IM for my default email. I've used IM for over 15 years and for being a loyal account holder with them, this is what I get. I still have it on my laptop, as I am wary of uninstalling it. I don't use it anymore though. When and if my situation ever gets resolved, I will keep it installed. You never know. But as far as trying any more of the same suggestions from tech support, they need to come up with a solution that actually works. It would also be nice to have a tech support person from the US also. I can tell by the wording in the emails that I am dealing with someone in India or whatever! Not USA. I just wish that for as nice a program as Incredimail is, they need to pay better attention to their account holders and get better tech support. I've had emails lost in the past but to actually get an old email account with an old email address in the upgrade is beyond absurd. Any of the emails or pictures in these old emails are coded, and you can't read them, or see the photos. Most of the emails don't even open and just take up space. The folders that show up are obsolete. I don't know what to do. I see lost of you have lost emails, but has anyone's revert back years with the 2.5 upgrade?

Have you tried downgrading back to IncrediMail 2? Do you see your data in it?

I have been having the same problem.
I uninstalled and re installed what I thought was incredi 2 but it has installed 2.5

I have lost hundreds of very important emails and want this fixed. Why were we not warned and for them to say that they can not reproduce is a joke
