Importing Settings Another Way

Postby Melza7 » Fri Apr 01, 2016 10:49 am

Hi everyone :)

My PC needed a format and a friend helped do that this past weekend.

I asked him to export my IM settings/mail and, instead of doing it the normal route, copied these folders instead.

They appear named as e.g. {2A966793-CE64-425A-84B7-875B10035DEC}

There are about 5 of them like this.

I have tried to import the settings looking in each folder via the Import Data Settings option, with no luck.

Is there any way I can copy/paste these folders somewhere in the program or can anyone please help tell me how I can import everything, as I have alot of work e-mails here I cannot loose.

Thanks so much!

In this case, to import the messages and contacts from the backup, please do the following:

1. Copy the "Identities" folder from the backup location to your Desktop.

2. Open IncrediMail, click on File > Import and Export > Import Messages.

3. In the pop-up window, select "IncrediMail" and click on Next.

4. Click "Select Folder" and browse to the "Identities" folder located on your Desktop. Click on Next.

5. Select the option "All Folders". Click on Next.

6. When complete, click on Finish.

7. In the main IncrediMail window, click on File > Import and Export > Import Contacts.

8. In the pop-up window, select "IncrediMail Address Book" and click on Next.

9. Click "Select Folder" and browse to the "Identities" folder located on your Desktop. Click on Next.

10. When complete, click on Finish.

Please let me know the results.
