IM Vomits Files on Desktop On Installation

I received a message through IM that I needed to update. I did even though I was fairly certain I had the latest version. When I clicked on the IM icon, all the files in the program suddenly were splattered all over my desktop.

The Incredimail has crashed window opened up. I filled it out, explaining what had happened and sent it in.

I uninstalled IM, but that did not remove the files from my desktop. I had to delete each one manually. I then tried installing the entire program. The exact same thing happened. I filled out another report and sent it in. Then I uninstalled the program and had to delete the all the files all over again. It seems IM is installing the program files on my desktop instead of in the Program Files folder on my hard drive.

I have paid a "forever" membership twice and am a VIP member. I have had many problems with IM before, but I was always able to fix them. Not this time.

In this case, to change the location of the IncrediMail data folder, please do the following:

1. In the top menu of the main IncrediMail window, click on Tools > Options.

2. On the General tab, click on "Data Folder Settings".

3. Click on "Change" and browse to the location where you wish to move the data folder.

4. IncrediMail will then ask you to verify that you wish to move the data folder. Click on "OK" to begin the transfer - this process make take a few minutes, depending on the size of the data folder.

5. Once the process completes, IncrediMail will be relaunched, with the data folder in the new location.
