IncrediMail Lost & Won't Reinstall

Postby amharlow » Thu Aug 26, 2010 8:04 pm

Your IncrediMail Version: IM2
Your Internet Browser Type: FireFox 3.5
Your Operation System: Windows 7

What have you done before the problem occurred?
Shut down computer for the evening as always

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
no error message received

Please provide a full description of the problem:
I booted up my computer as usual this morning and could not open IncrediMail. When I check my IM folder in the Programs folder I found it was empty and IM was no longer installed on my computer. I then attempted to download and reinstall IM but installation continually failed. I then went to my "install & uninstall" list on my control panel and uninstalled IM that was listed there but I still cannot install IncrediMail again. I have lost all my saved emails, all my contacts, all my stationary, everything but would more importantly just like to get IncrediMail back.

Try to re-install IncrediMail using the full setup file:

Cannot install full version or update if I allow Windows to update my Windows 7. After doing a complete manual restore prior to the Windows update that seemed to cause the IM problem I had IM back but now I can't, or am afraid to, run any Windows updates for fear of losing IM again. Has anyone had any similar problems and is it IM or is it the Windows updates?
