What do you do prior to getting this message?

How often does this occur?

Which IncrediMail version do you have installed?

Got exactly the same problem here.

Each time i start IncrediMail it keeps showing "IncrediMail has encountered a problen and needs to close".

Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION (C0000005) - on reading from 040D036A
Faulting Offset: 00002CEB
Module: ImApp.exe

00002CEB ImApp.exe

I don't need to do anything to get this message. Once it tries to connect to any mailserver or just even clicking an E-Mail in my inbox.
It does happen each time i try to use any function.
I am running IncrediMail 2.0

I also reinstalled IncrediMail and the same error still exists. I could use some help here <Smile>
Thanks

EDIT:
Funny thing after installing Windows Updates it does work without any errors lol

I have the exact same problem, and no updates from windows has fixed it. Please help, I've written several times under "send error report" and I get no help at all... UGH
Again, the problem is exactly like the one the poster outlined above.

When did you start getting this crash?

How often does it occur?

What exactly do you do prior to it happening?

Yeah, incredimail's support has always been the worst! You notify them of the problem, and IF they reply, it's with the same questions they ask every single time... as if something you did was the cause of the problems because they refuse to fix the bugs. I think they just want you to "upgrade" and pay the price... well I refuse to buy anything else from them until I get answers. I've bought a copy of Outlook and I'm in the process of switching over... Incredimail just makes me FURIOUS... all their cutsie tootsie "Have a Question?" and smiles and childish graphics... and no real help or support... this is among the worst companies I've had to ever deal with...

I am sorry to hear you are not pleased with the forum support, we do our best to assist our users with any issue they encounter.

They reason we ask the same questions regarding similar issues is for diagnostics of the problem users encounter.

Since you are experiencing this problem, I would like you to try and boot your computer in Safe Mode, which loads Windows with only the necessary drivers, then try using IncrediMail again.

To boot your Windows in Safe Mode, please do the following:

1. Print out these instructions so you can follow them after restarting your computer.

2. Restart your computer.

3. Before Windows starts, press the 'F8' key on your keyboard.

4. Select the 'Safe Mode (with Networking)' option from the 'Mode Select' menu.

After Windows starts up, open IncrediMail and let me know if the problem continues to occur.

Please Note: To restore your computer to its normal state, simply reboot it.
Best regards,
