Backup Software
Any idea where I can get the download for the Incredibackup for Incredimail2... I found other versions but they don't work with my Incredimail2 Premium.

To manually backup the data in IncredImail 2.5, please do the following:
1. Exit the IncrediMail application by right-clicking on the icon in your Windows taskbar and selecting "Exit".
*2*. In File Explorer, browse to the following location:
C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\IM
Note: YOURUSER refers to your actual Windows user. As the "AppData" folder may sometimes be hidden, for instructions on how to show hidden files and folders in Windows, please refer to the Microsoft article at:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... dden-files
3. Copy the "Identities" folder to your chosen backup location.
To later import the backup, please do the following:
1. Copy the "Identities" folder from the backup location to your Desktop.
2. Open IncrediMail, click on File > Import and Export > Import Messages.
3. In the pop-up window, select "IncrediMail" and click on Next.
4. Click "Select Folder" and browse to the "Identities" folder located on your Desktop. Click on Next.
5. Select the option "All Folders". Click on Next.
6. When complete, click on Finish.
7. In the main IncrediMail window, click on File > Import and Export > Import Contacts.
8. In the pop-up window, select "IncrediMail Address Book" and click on Next.
9. Click "Select Folder" and browse to the "Identities" folder located on your Desktop. Click on Next.
10. When complete, click on Finish.

Re: Backup Software
This doesn't work for me.
1. Copied the Identities folder onto new computer.
2. Got error when trying to set up email account under 'shaw.ca'- msg says 'Authorization for account 'shaw.ca' failed. Please review 'Server Details' below. (No details provided!) This is a valid email account & no problems with it before.
3. When trying to import the file 'Identities' from desktop, I get an error saying 'Please select the following file location: IncrediMail Data.cab' - there is no such file in that folder.
Please help!

Re: Backup Software
1. OK
2. To address this issue, I would like you to test your email account settings in Mozilla Thunderbird on the same computer as instructed in our online article at http://support.incredimail.com/entries/ ... ail-client, and see if you are indeed able to send/receive messages from that email account.
Note: By accessing your mailbox via webmail, you are bypassing all security restrictions on your account, and thus does not help us in troubleshooting the problem.
3. As instructed in my previous post, please click on File > Import and Export > Import Messages, not File > Data and Settings Transfer Wizard > Import Data and Settings.
Please implement the instructions exactly as written in my previous post.
Please let me know the results.

Re: Backup Software
Currently, IncrediMail (and IncrediBackup) are only available for standard Windows computers.
However, I will be happy to pass your request onto our developers and we may consider supporting other platforms in the future.

Your Mac comes with software to make backing up simple. Just turn on Time Machine and connect an external drive. Hope it will help.
