This Error Message usually means your Computer clock's date and time are incorrect.

If the date and time are correct, the Email Account User Name is incorrect. To fix the issue:

1. Please click on the 'Tools' menu, then 'Email Accounts'.

2. Select your Account Name and click 'Properties'.

3. Under User Name, make sure it is your User Name only and not your full Email Address).

4. Lastly, click 'OK' and 'Close'.

I already did that. When I changed my username from my e-mail address to the username I got even more error messages!....Socket Error: (0) The operation completed successfully. The time and date are always correct. This is an answer you gave me previously. None of your solutions have worked. <No>

Please check that your Computer Name does not contain characters which are not recognized by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), since some ISPs require you to use a specific computer name to identify your computer and validate your account.

You should check and change the computer name to another one which contains only English letters:

1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and choose 'Properties'.
2. Under the Computer Name tab, click Change.
3. Delete the old computer name, and enter a new one. The name cannot contain special characters, such as the following:
à â ç î ï ô ù û ü < > ; : " * + = \ | ?,
4. Click 'Ok' to close each dialog. You may need to restart your computer to finalize these changes.

There are NO special characters in the computer name. What's next? This is VERY frustrating! I am still getting multiple duplicates and only old e-mails.

To further address this issue, I would like you to test your email account settings in Mozilla Thunderbird as instructed in our online article at http://support.incredimail.com/entries/ ... ail-client, and see if you are indeed able to send/receive messages from that email account.

Note: By accessing your mailbox via webmail, you are bypassing all security restrictions on your account, and thus does not help us in troubleshooting the problem.

Please let me know the results.

These options are not showing when I try to "add" an account to Mozilla:

Enter your name and e-mail address.
Select 'POP' as the type of incoming server you are using.
Enter your e-mail address for the 'Incoming User Name', and 'Outgoing User Name'. Click 'Next'.
Enter a name for your email account and click 'Next'.
Verify your account information and click 'Finish'.

What now?

There is no option that says "finish". When I click add I have to choose from several options, including "microsoft exchange server; Pop3;IMAP;HTTP or additional server types. The dialog box show on the support page is not the same as what I see in OUtlook. Next?! <Sad
