Re: file extension .ima is not associated with incredimail
Over a long period of time I have had IM crashing when using 'send'......also unable to use copy / paste. Decided to remove and re-install IM, it was after this action that I got the following message:-
"It appears that the file extension *.ima* is not associated with incredimail. This file is required by incredimail to work properly. Would you like to make it associated with incredimail." This is message is repeated ims, imn, imi, imw, imf,imk and ime. it occurs every time the system is rebooted, IM doesn't auto restart, when you click on the IM tab the messages start to appear.
Regards
Nigel

Re: file extension .ima is not associated with incredimail
To make sure 'ima' files are associated with IncrediMail, please try the following:
1. Right-click the IncrediMail Tray Icon and select 'Exit'.
2. Right-click on the IncrediMail shortcut and select 'Run as Administrator'.
3. Reboot your computer, and run IncrediMail.
Please Note: If you receive an Error Message after doing so, please restart your computer again.

Re: file extension .ima is not associated with incredimail
First off, if you are using ACT! - it uses .ima whch will make IncrediMail show that it is not associated with the extention.
The work around is to click on Start, Default Programs, then choose "Associate a file type or protocol with a program".
Scroll down to ".ima". If it doesn't show "IncrediMail Content Importer" then click on "Change Program". Click on "Browse"
and go to C:\Program Files\IncrediMail\Bin and select the file "ImpCnt". It will now be associated with IncrediMail.

Re: file extension .ima is not associated with incredimail
Hi Gary,
The only one I can find is "imc" (IM setup) which isn't one of the problem extentions, none of the other .im? extentions files are there.

Hi Frencie
Thanks for your assistance, I'm afraid it didn't fix my problem even after a second run after reboot.
