will not send emails

Your IncrediMail Version: problem is in xe and also in incredimail 2
Your Internet Browser Type: FireFox 3.5
Your Operation System: Windows Vista

What have you done before the problem occurred?
sent and received emails as usual

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
Keylib error: #28 -> EXP DATE EMPTY

Please provide a full description of the problem:
each time i try to send an email i get the error "Keylib error: #28 -> EXP DATE EMPTY"
and the mail sits in the outbox until i delete it.
i do not wish to uninstall then reinstall the program as i have mail that i am not willing to lose. there is mention of this error on the internet and the consensus seems to be completely re-installing everything and setting up the account again. i have had my email for a long time and cannot even remember the passwords i have set for the accounts i have so i prefer not to go down that route.
this problem started with no warning and nothing i try seems to affect it.
i even tried leaving only 1 account active and default to see if it would send on that account but it will not.
this is a problem with incredimail and not the accounts themselves.
i receive mail with no problem but cannot send anything

I'd like you to download the full setup file for IncrediMail and see if that solves the problem. Please click here, download and install IncrediMail.

Please let me know if the problem persists.

Note: This process will not affect your IncrediMail data in any way.

I am having the same problem with Incredimail. If I do the full download that you're suggesting, won't I lose all of my existing e-mails & contacts?

Ok, I performed the full download and that did not fix it. Incredimail still will not send mail. It shows, SENT, in the SENT folder, but it's not really sent to anyone.
The last time this happened, upgrading to version 2 fixed it.
The guys at the Incredimail helpline don't know how to fix it. I sent them the IMData file that they requested, but apparently that didn't help. We have been communicating via G-Mail.
I can send and receive mail with G-Mail, Comcast & Netscape. I've been thru the Incredimail reconfiguration routine. That didn't fix it, either.
Any suggestions from you would be greatly appreciated.

Query: If I was to do an uninstall/reinstall operation, will I lose my existing e-mails & contacts?

Did you try to send a test email to your own email address ?

To check this issue further, I would like you to perform a few simple steps:

1) Disable any firewalls that you may have installed on your computer.

2) Open IncrediMail and click 'Write'.

3) Enter your own email address in the 'To:' field. Enter a short text message in the message body and click 'Send'.


In the IncrediMail main window, click 'Get Mail'. Do you receive the email message correctly? If you receive any error message, please quote it in full.

Do you encounter any problem receiving messages in other email clients, such as Outlook Express/Windows Mail ?

With firewall disabled (or enabled) IncrediMail will not send an e-mail to myself nor anyone else.
There are no error messages.
With Outlook Express, I can send an e-mail to myself and anyone else with no problem.
I have tried to reconfigure IncrediMail, but that did not fix it.

Did you send a test email to yourself ? Were you able to view the email under the 'Sent Items' folder ?

Could it be that you received this test email in other email client ?

Did this issue start lately ? Did you install any new softwares lately ?

Yes, I did & yes, it shows in the SENT folder.

No, it was not received by another e-mail client; I checked for that.

This same problem happened about several months ago. At that time, it was corrected by upgrading to version 2. IncrediMail was working fine until, suddenly, about 4-5 days ago. It just, suddenly, stopped sending e-mails.

No, I have not installed any new software for a long time.
