IS NOT CONNECTING TO MAIL SERVER

Your Internet Browser Type: Internet Explorer 8
Your Operation System: Windows Vista

What have you done before the problem occurred?
i HAD TO HAVE MY COMPUTER RESTARTED BUT IT WORKRD FINE UNTIL A FEW DAYS AGO AND NOW IT WONT CONNECT AT ALL

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
It IS TELLING ME THAT THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD IS INCORRECT

Please provide a full description of the problem:
When i try to check my email it says connecting and then after a few minutes a error messsage pops up saying that my username and password is incorrect but i have used the same username and password since i have been using incredimail.

but when i go to comcast.net web site and check my email it is working fine

I'm having the SAME problem...I can send a new letter,but it won't let me get any mail...
It IS TELLING ME THAT THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD IS INCORRECT also...worked fine till a few days ago...
Please help...I miss my Incredimail!

Try to remove your email account and then to re-confiure it again. Also, read the following topic:

I have tried everything,removing..more then once!!! I even uninstalled it....did firewall..you name it! wrote for help with no reply on contact us...did that twice!! nothing is happening still no e-mail.. worked fine till about 3 days ago..maybe 4 just like the othe person

Can you please try to configure your email account on another email client like Outlook Express or Thunderbird?

Also, my suggestion to you is to verify your email account details with your ISP.

I have bellsouth...I have logged off and logged on at least 20 times to make sure I was still able to log on..my msn is working fine...my yahoo is fine..everything was great till about 3-4 days ago...its only with incredimail...and I haven't had my incredimail fix and I'm having withdrawals..lol

All the above is irrelevant because you're talking about webmails (MSN is webmail, Yahoo is webmail...), did you try to configure your email account in other email client such as Outlook Express / Windows Mail ?

Have you verified with your email account provider your account details ?

I can log on and off of everything, but incredimail....someone wrote me and I can get on Incredimail tonight..but when I go into my pics to send a pic, it takes me to some other e-mail account and not incredimail..
So how do I fix that!
Just one more thing..LOL

Please contact your email account provider and ask them for these details:

  • POP3 and SMTP mail server addresses.
  • Port numbers for the POP3 and SMTP mail servers.
  • Do you need to authenticate when sending mail?
  • Do you need to use SSL?



Verify with them that the username and password that you are using are correct. In the IncrediMail main window, click the 'Tools' menu, select 'Email Accounts', select your email account and click 'Properties'.

Check that the details you have in IncrediMail are correct.
