Incredimail won't open from desktop icon

Your Internet Browser Type: FireFox 3.5
Your Operation System: Windows Vista

What have you done before the problem occurred?
IM was working fine 4 days ago, I attempted to open it as normal and received a 'critical error ' mesage, although it didn't say what the 'critical error was.

After much messing around, which included, deleting the programme, then reinstalling it, followed by attempting to access it from within Program Files, using 'CCleaner and Evidence Eliminator' plus specialist software to remove all registry entries for I.M from the computer and re-installing again - I can download and install - and the icons appear on the desktop but the problem remains - click on the icon - nothing!

I've gone back into Programme Files, it won't work from there either. So I've done everything I can think of - so here I am on the forum to see if anybody has a clue how I can get it bak again. My old emails will have been destroyed with the deletion of all of the registry entries, I'm not bothered about that as there was nothing important but I do miss I.M because it's the best email system around and I don't want to have to use anything else - any help needless to say will be VERY gratefully appreciated.


If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
I receive no error messages if I click on the icon - it just won't load - however if I try and download 3D magic, the following is what I receive:

C:\Users\Adam\Desktop\Downloads\incredimail_install(2).exe could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.


Please provide a full description of the problem:

Please send me a screenshot of the problem you encounter and give a short description of the problem. To create the screenshot, please click here, click 'Run' and when the file download completes, click 'Run' again.

When you see the problem on your computer screen again, click the 'Make Screenshot' in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Close the IncrediMail Screenshot Creator and attach the IncrediMail_Screenshot_0001.JPG file created on your Desktop to your reply.

Screen shot attached as requested, theres nothing realy to see as clicking on the icon produces nothing, no pop up, no error message or anything - nevertheless I have attached as requested.

I've been having the same problem for the past couple of weeks. Sometimes it takes about 10 - 15 minutes to be able to open Incredimail. It's really frustrating because I am not able to send email. I'm about ready to not even use Incredimail anymore. I did finally get on this AM after about half an hour of reinstalling, restarting computer, etc. I get no error messages or anything, I click on the icon and absolutely nothing happens and then all of a sudden it may open .
