Socket Error 10013

Your Internet Browser Type: Internet Explorer 8
Your Operation System: Windows 7

What have you done before the problem occurred?
Nothing known. This inquiry is on behalf of my daughter, she suddenly cannot send or receive emails.

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
Failed to Connect Incoming Server 'mail.optus.com.au Pls try again later -- Details -- "Socket Error 10013 Port 110 Protocol .POP. An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its u....permission

Please provide a full description of the problem:
My daughter's email address is 'pamanon@optusnet.com.au' She has checked her firewall and ensured incredimail access boxes are ticked but still has no access. Assistance will be appreciated

Thanks, been there and that was ok. The problem turned out to be a conflict with her anti-virus prog. Sorting that out now. Regds...........L
