Can't send emails

Postby partimer1 » Thu Sep 30, 2010 3:32 pm

Your IncrediMail Version: 2.0
Your Internet Browser Type: Internet Explorer 7
Your Operation System: Windows XP

What have you done before the problem occurred?
. I don't remember changing any settings. Did not have any problems sending OR receiving.

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
535, incorrect authentication code.

Please provide a full description of the problem:
I cannot send out any emails. I can receive emails on a sporadic basis. Everytime I try to send an email I get the error message 535, incorrect authentication code. HELP!!! Thanks for any assistance.

Contact your email account provider and ask them for these details:

  • POP3 and SMTP mail server addresses.
  • Port numbers for the POP3 and SMTP mail servers.
  • Do you need to authenticate when sending mail?
  • Do you need to use SSL?

Verify with them that the username and password that you are using are correct. In the IncrediMail main window, click the 'Tools' menu, select 'Email Accounts', select your email account and click 'Properties'.

Check that the details you have in IncrediMail are correct.

I can receive emails but cannot send. Error message reads
The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. Do you want to continue using this server ? and then when you choose details it says A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.

Sir I have read with interest the comments above because I'm having similar problems, but when I go to tools and look for Email accounts I dont have it in the drop down menu, all I have are Check spelling, Spelling options, Select recipients, Check address, Voice message recorder, and Signature + Options. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi,

Your in the wrong window. Close the compose a message window and get to the main IM2 program window. Now look under 'tools' and you will find the 'email accounts' choice.
