Security Certificate error box

Your IncrediMail Version: I don't know
Your Internet Browser Type: FireFox 3.5
Your Operation System: Windows XP

What have you done before the problem occurred?
I keep getting this box every few minutes:

"The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. do you want to continue using the server? Details: The certificate's CN name does not match the passed value."

Please advise how to resolve this.

I am getting the same, exact, error message. Is someone going to address the problem, it's getting VERY annoying.

Who is your email account provider ? AT&T ? If so, did they change anything in their servers ?

Please contact your email account provider and ask them for these details:

  • POP3 and SMTP mail server addresses.
  • Port numbers for the POP3 and SMTP mail servers.
  • Do you need to authenticate when sending mail?
  • Do you need to use SSL?


Verify with them that the username and password that you are using are correct. In the IncrediMail main window, click the 'Tools' menu, select 'Email Accounts', select your email account and click 'Properties'.

Check that the details you have in IncrediMail are correct.

I have the same problem - Sprint is my provider, but I did not have this problem until I downloaded the new Incredimail 2. How do I get rid of the annoying security certificate error box? I upgraded to a gold membership, hoping I would get more support, but apparently that is not possible without agreeing to a premium membership. I do not understand what you require of me to fix this problem. Please help.

geneabair - Make sure that your computer date and time are configured correctly. Also, contact your email account provider and make sure that you're using the correct settings.
