difficulty receiving and sending messages

Your Internet Browser Type: Internet Explorer 6
Your Operation System: Windows XP

What have you done before the problem occurred?
upgraded to 2011 AVG antivirus and ran the associated computer check.
installed Skype and a webcam, but uninstalled both when problems continued.

Have since run Advanced Systemcare Pro's programmes (Disc Doctor finds nothing amiss);
have also verified server information in Goodle and Outlook


If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
Socket Error: 10055, Port: 995, Protocol: POP.An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full.

Please provide a full description of the problem:
Socket Error: 10055 continues to keep incoming and outgoing servers from connecting with gmail. Already sent an IMdata.cab report and followed other leads (including account, POP and server verifications/reinstallations), but IncrediMail will only "connect" a couple of times each day, then the socket error window appears.
HELP!

Thank you. I have already performed steps 1) and 2) several times. As for the firewall, I appear to have five (rather than the 4 listed) IncrediMail approved programs, the 5th one being: ImLc.exe. I was assuming that this latter has something to do with the fact that I also use IncrediMail on my laptop and there may be a wireless connection (?) Should I eliminate this one?
Finally, if I disable the firewall, for how long should I keep it off??

It doesn't matter for how long, the important thing is that the firewall will be disabled and then you'll try to send/receive emails.

Also, try to configure your email account in other email client such as Outlook Express.
