Can't send emails

Your IncrediMail Version: 2.0 (most recent)
Your Internet Browser Type: Google Chrome
Your Operation System: Windows Vista

What have you done before the problem occurred?
Everything Bob (virtual assistant) said.

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
421 Cannot connect to SMTP server 65.55.172.254 (65.55.172.254:25), connect error 10060

Please provide a full description of the problem:

Im using Windows Live Hotmail, I can receive email but not send them with incedimail.

Could someone help me?

One of the possible reasons for problems such as you encounter is because you have a firewall or personal proxy installed.

To verify that your firewall isn't blocking IncrediMail, please make sure that the following IncrediMail processes are all in the firewalls 'Approved Programs' list.

IncMail.exe

IMApp.exe

ImNotfy.exe

ImpCnt.exe

I've already did that and now my firewall is off, maybe it is caused by Avast free antvirus?

Have you completely turned off all firewalls and similar programs, including Avast?

Please try doing so, and see if the issue continues.

My system is Incredimail2 and Vista. I have turned it all off Firewall and Virus and Malware protection and Incredimail still will not / can not communicate with Hotmail gives an error that the target server actively refuses the contact.

Yes it works if I turn of avast but now I have no antivirus??

Hi,

I use Avast, but without the problem you describe. Have you looked into the 'Real-Time Shields' area then 'Mail Shield'. Click on 'Expert settings' then make sure all your 'SSL' accounts are defined. Is the SMTP server 65.55.172.254 using port 25 defined?

Hi, I'm having the same problem since switching to Avast.
The only way I can send emails is to turn off the "scan outbound messages" setting.
I tried all the suggestions already posted and they did not work.
Any other ideas?

It gives me an error at the beginning of setup even though the user name and password are right and then all I can do is recieve E-mail I CAN NOT send anything!!!! I am using window Vista McAffy Antivirus I get this error when
I try to send an Email << Socket Error: 10061 , Port: 25, Protocol: SMTP.No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. >>
