error installing incredimail 2

Your IncrediMail Version: incredimail XP
Your Internet Browser Type: Internet Explorer 8
Your Operation System: Windows Vista

What have you done before the problem occurred?
just executed the upgrade to version 2

If you receive any error message, please quote it precisely:
same error message during the installation and after that, executing it:
(Portuguese) Falha na inicialização do aplicativo devido a configuração lado a lado incorreta.
(free translation) Error inicializating the applictation because incorrect side by side configuratiohn.


Please provide a full description of the problem:
I´ve tried to updat my incredimail for version 2 but didn´t work. Incredimail was running perfectly (before that) and stoped working...
I want to backup my data and reinstall the software. Which is the procedure ?

by the way where are my data files ? Can I copy that folder and import data after reinstall Incredimail ?

I´ve read I can face problems uninstalling it. How can I avoid it ?

It's possible that downloading the IncrediMail full setup file will solve the problem you encountered.

Please click here to download the full setup file. Install IncrediMail once the download completes and let me know if the problem continues to occur.

I'd like you to send me a screenshot so I can check to see exactly what you are seeing and go from there! You can do so by clicking here, clicking 'Run' and when the file download completes, click 'Run' again.

When you see the problem again, click the 'Make Screenshot' in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Close the IncrediMail Screenshot Creator and attach the 'IncrediMail_Screenshot_0001.jpg' file created on your Desktop to your reply.

I am also having installation problems but I have already uninstalled incred 2 and now it will not re-install so I do not have access to the program screens or tools.
How this happened is I received a notice that an upgrade was avail for my incredimail 2. When I attempted installing the upgrade I received a message from incredimail that a tech problem has occurred and to try a different method I went along with the installation instructions and it will not install. So that's when I thought if I uninstall then re-install, it would work. Now all that I can successfully do is the download part but during the installation I get the working O then it disappears and nothing. I have tried re-installing with both methods you suggest using the install/setup manager and then trying the direct install approach but I get the same result. It won't install. I've already tried turning off firewalls and security programs then attempted installing and that did not help. I also tried installing using Explorer 9 didn't work and Firefox and still unsuccessful. Is the new upgrade version not compatible with Win7 64bit ? The old version ran fine but unfortunately I do not have a backup of the program. I have saved all my files but cannot access them without the incredimail platform. What can I do?

Always used and I love Incredimail, but the format my pc could not install.

Here the print screen about the message (in portuguese). Take a look im my previous posts for a free translation to English.
I hope it´s enought to give me some directions to reinstall incredimail 2 or just recover my incredimail data.

ps: For all friends around the world with the same problem: you are wellcome to post similar problems right here.

It's possible that the problem you encountered is because another program you have installed on your computer conflicts with IncrediMail.

I'd like you to re-start your computer, loading only the basic programs, by doing the following:

Click the 'Start' menu and in the 'Start Search' dialog, enter 'msconfig', and press on the 'Enter' key.

In the 'System Configuration' dialog, select the 'Startup' tab and click 'Disable All'.

Restart your computer.

With only the basic programs loaded, please try to open IncrediMail and let me know what happens.

Don't forget to repeat steps 1 and 2 and click the 'Enable All' option to restore your computer's default settings.
